CEMIX Basecoat is a special blend of next-generation cements, aggregates and chemical additives. When mixed with water, it forms a ready to use paste for adhesive and coating for polystyrene panels (FOAM).

- Can be used as an adhesive to attach polystyrene panels to any surface type such as cinderblock, brick, drywall panels, fiber cement panels, partitions, traditional finishing methods, concrete walls, polystyrene panels, moldings, etc.
- Also can be used as a primer coating before applying the final coating or finish of CEMIX Textura plástica, CEMIX Adeblok, or paint. Can also be used as an adhesive and coating for FOAM moldings.

- As an adhesive and / or coating on expanded and extruded polystyrene panels, sheets and molding covers 43 to 54 sq ft per 44 lb bag (4 to 5 m2 per 20 K bag)
- As an coating on polystyrene molding (FOAM) using a brush or compressor (semi-liquid) covers 129 to 140 sq ft per 44 lb bag (12 to 13 m2 per 20 K bag)

- For optimal results, do not apply the product when the temperature is expected to drop below 40°F (4°C) or above 113°F (45°C) during the following 24 hours after application or if there is a probability of rain.
- Do not add more water after preparing the mixture since this decreases the product’s final hardness and results in white stains that are lighter than the rest of the applied product.
